GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
Instruct positive, engaging, and impactful group fitness classes as part of a team committed to student growth. We’re looking for group fitness instructors who are enthusiastic, collaborative leaders with a passion for intentional fitness, wellness, and personal development. Our primary goal is to mentor and support emerging instructors, and we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
For UVM students, we hire on a rolling basis and provide comprehensive training. All interested applicants are encouraged to audition, regardless of current certification status, and to pursue certification before teaching.
While our program is student-centered, we also hire non-students as needed to support group fitness offerings and assist in mentoring new instructors (scroll down below).
Other Requirements/Certifications:
CPR, First Aid, AED Certification and professional certification in Group Fitness Instructor (e.g. ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NETA) or ability to obtain upon hire.

PERSONAL TRAINER
Personal trainers develop individualized programs specific to the needs of each client. During sessions, trainers show clients how to execute exercises to ensure safety and effectiveness. Programs are based on the client’s goals as well as the physiological and functional assessment results discovered during intake. Our trainers provide the instruction and motivation client’s need to reach their health and fitness goals. As a team we are dedicated to designing safe, attainable, and individualized fitness programs. Please note we review applications in November-January to hire for the Spring semester and again in May-July to hire for the Fall semester.
