ACE Group Fitness Exam Preparation Course
Offered in the fall, 3 credits, no prerequisites required

The Group Fitness Instructor Certification preparation course gives students the knowledge and skills to design and teach fitness classes, lead all fitness levels effectively, and deliver experiences your participants will never forget. This course is designed to give students the knowledge and understanding necessary to prepare for the ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification Exam and become effective group fitness instructors. This class will cover foundations in applied sciences and create relative fitness and instructional experiences to practice this knowledge. During this course students will be use class time as a lab to sample and be mentored to lead modalities like cardio/aerobics, kickboxing, TRX, Pilates, cycling, yoga, strength training, core training and more.
At the completion of this course, students have the option to register and sit for the ACE Group Fitness Exam. Earning a certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) will align students with industry standards of a professional fitness instructor. The certification exam cost is not part of the course fee.
