PEAC 005: Club Sports

These courses are reserved for participation in a Club Sport and are therefore only available for members of the clubs.  If you are not a member of a club sport but are interested in joining, please contact the club directly to learn about joining.  You can find a directory HERE.  After you have joined the club, you will then be eligible to receive credit.

PEAC 044: Restorative Yoga

This class is focused on a quiet and contemplative practice that uses props to create and support the gradual opening of the body and mind. Restorative Yoga is designed to help relieve stress and counteract the consequences of stress, illness, irritability, loss of productivity, headaches, and difficulty sleeping. Supported physical postures (asana) will be held for 5-15 minutes in an exploration of active relaxation.

PEAC 052: Yoga & Mindfulness

This course introduces students to various yoga poses and techniques, delves into the history of yoga in the United States and around the world, and provides students with the understanding of how yoga improves one's overall wellness.


PEAC 069: Intro to Meditation

Wherever you are right in this moment, reading this description, can be considered a meditation.  Meditation is much more that what you might imagine of sitting with your eyes closed and legs crossed; meditation is many, many things.  Meditation can help to reduce stress, improve concentration, improve self-awareness, and increases happiness.  In this class we will have fun in exploring, discussing, and experiencing a vast array of meditations as a group, in hopes of discovering some methods that resonate with who you are and what you enjoy. 


PEAC 115: Yoga & the Chakras

In yogic philosophy and anatomy, we have seven (7) major energy centers called "chakras", which affect our physical, mental, and emotional health and balance.  In this course, we will explore the chakras through brief discussions, self-reflection and a comprehensive yoga practice to increase awareness and foster overall health and well-being.  Course content will draw on both yogic and western anatomy; our practice will include both and Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. All levels welcome.
