Hey, UVM! It's almost time to register for classes next semester. We're sure you have a lot to consider when choosing your classes, especially your electives. Haven't decided yet? Check out the Physical Education Basic Instruction (PEAC) classes through Campus Rec!
PEAC provides students, faculty, and staff with a variety of recreational and educational opportunities, regardless of experience or skill in an activity. All instructors are experts in the area they teach and many are instructors in the Burlington community. All classes are one credit and grading is based on participation, skill development, and progression throughout the semester. Don't worry if you don't have any experience. Many classes are offered in a range of proficiency levels (1-2 Beginner, 3-4 Intermediate, 5-6 Advanced).
There are an array of courses to choose from next semester including:
Kickboxing
Rock Climbing
Group Fitness
Cycling
Scuba
Yoga
Meditation
Military Fitness
… and more!
PEAC classes are a lively way to take a break from the stress of your typical course load, but don't just take it from me! Here are what some students have said about PEAC classes:
"The Lab was always fun and exciting because we were always learning and doing something new. It was the best way I could have spent a morning. The class was knowledgeable and interesting and all grading was fair."
"This class was so much fun and I was able to walk away with a very tangible new skill."
"This was one of the coolest classes I have taken so far!"
So go ahead, don't be shy. Take a look at what classes are being offered on UVM's Registrar Schedule of Courses for Fall 2021 and sign-up for the one that excites you the most!
