Cyrus Carey is the Associate Director of Campus Recreation, Operations in the Department of Athletics at the University of Vermont where he has worked for more than seven years. Carey serves on the Campus Recreation Student Development Committee and the Campus Recreation Risk Management Committee.
Carey began his career at UVM in 2012 as Intramural Sports Coordinator before rejoining Campus Recreation as Facility Operations Manager in 2014. He was promoted to Assistant Director, Operations in 2016 and to Associate Director, Operations in July 2022. He also served as a Graduate Associate for Intramural and Club Sports at Springfield College. He is an active member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).
Cyrus earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Vermont and a M.Ed in Sport Management from Springfield College. Â
A Vermont native, Carey currently resides in Winooski.
