RECademy Awards 2025
The 2025 RECademy Awards will take place on Sunday, April 27 at the UVM Alumni House at 61 Summit Street. The event starts at 4:30pm, and the awards presentation starts at 5pm. Apps and drinks will be served prior to the awards presentation. Come celebrate the work and achievements of you and your coworkers!
Friends, family, and significant others welcome. Campus Rec employees attend at no charge. Guest tickets are $10. To reserve guest tickets, bring cash to Michelle Malcolm by April 21.

On top of acknowledging employees who have exceeded standards in their current roles, each year we recognize three outstanding student employees for their dedication to Campus Recreation.
The Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award is presented annually to a Campus Recreation employee who has demonstrated exceptional job performance and dedication and commitment to Campus Recreation. To be eligible, the candidate must be in their first year of employment with Campus Recreation.
The Paul Reinhardt Award for Service
The Paul Reinhardt Award for Service is presented annually to a Campus Recreation employee who has exhibited exceptional dedication, loyalty, teamwork, and customer service throughout their employment in Campus Recreation. Recipients must have also performed regular duties at an exceptional level and served as a positive role model to their peers and/or patrons. To be eligible, the candidate must be employed by Campus Recreation for a minimum of four (4) semesters.
The Director's Award for Leadership
The Director's Award for Leadership is presented annually to a Campus Recreation employee who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in both formal and informal capacities. Recipients must have also performed regular duties at an exceptional level and served as a positive role model to their peers and:
- inspired and challenged others to excel in their roles and/or
- encouraged, supported, and empowered those around them and/or
- served as a champion for Campus Rec in the campus community.
To be eligible, the candidate must be employed by Campus Recreation for a minimum of four (4) semesters and be in a supervisory or leadership position.
Nominations for all departmental awards close on March 31.
Each department of Campus Rec will also give out “Best in Role” awards for each different position that students work. Please take some time to nominate your peers that have excelled in their position this year!

All Campus Recreation seniors will also receive a Campus Rec gift at the end of the awards and a pin that you can wear at graduation. All graduating staff will also be recognized during the ceremony - please make sure that your supervisor knows if you're in the graduating class of Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 so that we can recognize you for all your hard work!
UVM Catering will be providing us with DELICIOUS hors d'oeuvres and there will be a (free!) raffle as well as an ongoing game of bingo during the event. It is sure to be a load of fun, so come along!
