What are drop-in sports? Drop-In Sports provides students/faculty/staff members, regardless of experience level, the opportunity to participate in nightly drop-in recreation activities as a free and less structured alternative to intramural sports. These activities are organized and staffed, allowing participants to come by themselves or with friends to play against one another without the commitment of an intramural sport schedule. Valid UVM identification is required to participate and all equipment is provided (unless noted). Guest passes do not guarantee participation in drop in sports (exception - open skate) during the academic year (Fall/Spring). What is open recreation? Open Recreation (Open Rec) provides student/faculty/staff members time and space to participate in non-structured, sport activities throughout the PFG Athletic/Rec Complex. Most facilities in PFG are multi-use and may be used on a first come, first served basis. There is no fee to use the spaces but a valid UVM identification is required for Open Rec. Facility Schedules Note: For both Drop In Sports and Open Rec activities be sure to click on the activity listed below for more information. If you have questions about an activity not listed above, email Cyrus or call (802) 656-4473. Visit our Facility Schedules page before coming in to ensure facility availability.
