COVID Safety Info for Sport Programs
Intramural Sports Games/Tournaments
- All participants must be on their team's IMLeagues roster prior to participation.
- Teams are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled game time. Please do not arrive any earlier.
- Check in using your CAT Card or approved mobile device (biometrics finger scan will not be utilized).
- Rosters, surface players, game times, etc. may be decreased in order to limit the time and amount of participants you come into contact with. Please visit our rules/policies section to view the specific details on each sport.
- Pinnies will not be issued. All teams and participants should view the updated uniform/jersey policy in the Intramural Sports Handbook
Participant hygiene and safety:
- You must complete the UVM daily health screening via CoVerified before attending any sports program.
- UVM approved masks are required to be worn at all times.
- Participants are encouraged to self-regulate their intensity of play while wearing a mask and decrease intensity when needed.
- *Participants should furnish their own mask*
- Neck gaiters and bandanas are not approved facial masks per UVM Guidelines
- Participants are required to wash or sanitize hands before and after the event.
- Maintain physical distancing when in line to check-in, on the bench/sideline, and on playing surfaces when possible.
- Stay hydrated, bring a personal water bottle (full) with you.
Equipment:
- Campus Recreation will be able to provide essential equipment. Each piece of equipment will be sanitized prior to and after use.
- Warm up equipment will not be provided
- For specific questions regarding equipment, please visit the rules/policies section to view the sport in which you are interested.
Sport Programs staff hygiene and safety:

- All staff will be required to wear approved mask at all times.
- Staff are required to wash or sanitize hands before and after each event.
- Staff are required to wear gloves when setting up, breaking down, or cleaning equipment.
- Staff will sanitize equipment and contact surfaces at the end of each game.
