Membership
Campus Recreation offers facility/fitness center memberships to both the UVM and local community. Some affiliations receive automatic (free) access. Some affiliations need to purchase a membership to gain access. Please see the list of typical affiliations below. If you are unsure if you have automatic access or are eligible to purchase a membership, email or call (802) 656-3070. Click here for detailed membership policies.
To purchase a membership, stop by the Campus Rec front desk (at the Gucciardi Fitness Center) and one of our supervisors will be happy to assist. You may renew your membership online.
Automatic (free) Membership
- UVM Students (current) - undergrad graduate, medical
- Students graduating in Spring 2019 have access to the facilities until Sunday, May 19, 2019. Beginning Monday, May 20, graduated students are welcome to purchase alumni memberships.
- UVM Faculty and Staff (benefit-eligible), and Adjunct Faculty (current)
- UVM Faculty Emeriti, Retired UVM Faculty & Staff (must obtain CatCard)
- UVM Medical Center Residents
- Sodexo Personnel (Sodexo employees please see your Manager and they will contact UVM Catcard)
Automatic (free) Membership with Restrictions
Membership options & fees
- UVM Continuing Education Students - access during academic year only.
- Due to their unique student fee structure, Continuing Education students do not have automatic access to the facilities during the summer. After May 19, 2019, to access the facilities during the summer, Continuing Education students may purchase a membership.
- UVM Family Members (must obtain CatCard) - access during Family Hours Only. For additional access, you must purchase a membership.

Membership options & fees
- UVM Temporary Staff, UVM Medical Center Staff, UVM Alumni
- Friends of the UVM/local community - eligible to purchase a membership with a UVM sponsor (sponsor much be a current facility member).
- Attendees of UVM Conferences and Special Events - eligible to purchase day and week passes.
- Conference administrators interested in large group discounts should contact University Event Services while making arrangements for your visit and inquire about having pre-printed cards available for your conference attendees.
