Winter WOW Broomball Tournament (NOT OFFERED FALL 2020)

Intramural Sports is kicking off the spring semester with a broomball tournament in conjunction with the Winter Week of Welcome. Broomball is played on ice like hockey, but without skates or pucks. Players will use broomball sticks (shaped like a broom) to hit a small ball into the net in a game that is a fun adaptation of hockey. No previous experience is required and the game is fun for players of all abilities. To view the rules of broomball, visit our broomball webpage.

The Winter WOW Broomball Tournament will welcome students back to campus by allowing them to have fun playing a classic winter game and partaking in a UVM tradition. Broomball has been played on campus since the mid 1970’s and is annually one of the most popular intramural sports at UVM.
