ID & Admission Policy


Participating in any Campus Recreation Program/Activity or Access to any Facility requires a valid UVM or Campus Recreation ID.

Who May Use Facilities

Students (Full-time, Part-time, and Actively Enrolled Continuing Education), Faculty, Benefited Staff, and Retirees

  • No recreational fee assessed. There are fees for intramural and fitness participation.
  • May check out equipment and rent towels and lockers.

Any persons not falling into the above category are eligible to purchase a Campus Recreation Membership.

Guests

  • One-day guest passes may be purchased at the Campus Recreation Office only on the day to be used. They are non-transferable and non-refundable.
  • Guests may not participate in sport programs (intramural sports, most drop-in sports) or special events.
  • Guests may not check out equipment from the Campus Recreation Equipment Room.
  • A guest pass does not include towel and locker service.
  • Guests under the age of 18 may not use the fitness center, bouldering wall, sport programs or participate in group fitness classes. (Exception: if you are a full-time UVM Student under the age of 18 you are allowed access).
  • All guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their guest pass or membership waiver.
  • Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Attendees of UVM Conferences and Special Events

Admission, ID Cards and Guest Passes

  • Patrons must present valid identification (UVM CATcard) to access Campus Recreation facilities or programs. If your UVM CATcard is lost or stolen, the card must be replaced at the CATcard Office.
