American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (Hybrid)

Individuals who are required to obtain certification as a requirement of their employment should confirm with their supervisor that this course meets the requirement prior to registering for a class.

2025/2026 Academic Year Class Dates:

• Wednesday, October 1, 5-7:30pm
• Saturday, November 15, 9-11:30am
• Thursday, February 12, 5:30-8pm
• Saturday, April 4, 9-11:30am

Registration Periods  (All registrations must be completed online): 

• October class: August 25 - September 17, 2025
• November class: August 25 - October 30, 2025
• February class: January 12 - January 29, 2026
• April class: January 12 - March 19, 2026

Cost: Includes access to online portion of course, certification card, and key chain mask

• UVM Faculty/Staff/Facility Members - $110
• Community - $115

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made after the registration period closes but before the class date will incur a $25 administrative fee. No-shows are not eligible for a refund.

Location:

• UVM PFG Athletic Complex (instructor will share specific room information)

Course Format:

• This course is a blended learning course, which requires the registrant to complete approximately 2.5 hours of online work in advance of the skills class session. The instructor will provide registrants with online access information approximately one week in advance of the skills session.

Special Information:

• Participants must be at least 12 years-old by start of course.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course 

Class Meeting Dates:

• Saturday, February 28 & Sunday, March 1, 2026 9am-6pm

Registration (All registrations must be completed online):

• Monday, January 12 - Thursday, February 12, 2026

Cost: Registration fee includes instruction, certification card, rescue mask and hip pack.

• UVM Students - $375
• UVM Faculty/Staff/Facility Members - $400
• Community - $425

Course Format:

• This is a blended learning class. Participants will be required to complete approximately 7-9 hours of online work in advance of the course meeting dates.
• A pre-requisite test will take place during the early part of the course and will include: a 300-yard swim, 2 minutes of treading water with no hands, and a 1 min 40-second brick retrieval.

Special Information:

• Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course.
• Must have a minimum of six (6) participants in order for course to avoid cancellation.

• Saturday, April 11, 2026 - 9am-6pm

• Monday, January 12 - Thursday, March 26, 2026

Cost: Registration fee includes a certification card and rescue mask.
