| Sport Programs Coordinator Internship Position not offered for 2020-2021. General Overview Assist in the administration and management of all operational and programming aspects of a comprehensive intramural sports program (serving over 3,400 participants). Duties include but are not limited to: supervising and training student staff (approximately 40-50 students), maintain staff schedules, equipment inventory and management, risk management, and special event activities. Evening and weekend hours may be required. Essential Areas of Responsibility
The internship is a nine-month appointment (August through mid-May) with a salary of $22,000. Interns will work an average of 32-36 hours per week. Interns may also receive money for professional development opportunities to include; registration, transportation, and lodging. All internships are one year contracts with the possible renewal for one additional year. University of Vermont Campus Recreation is committed to helping each intern prepare for their next step. This program provides a well-rounded professional preparation experience (job search preparation and professional skill development) to prepare for the next step in their career.
